Honolulu Rainbow Film Festival 2018

August 9-19 • Full lineup coming soon

Honolulu Gay & Lesbian Cultural Foundation (HGLCF) is honored to produce the 29th Annual Honolulu Rainbow Film Festival (HRFF29) at the Honolulu Museum of Art’s Doris Duke Theatre from August 9-19, 2018, culminating with our signature Red Carpet Event on August 18.

HRFF29 will showcase films from around the world, plus hold discussions with delegates and also feature a day of women-specific programs on August 11 presented by our 2018 partner ClexaCon, a media and entertainment convention for LGBTQ women and allies. We’re also proud to announce a new partnership with APQFFA, the Asia Pacific Queer Film Festival Alliance, who will sponsor a showcase of short films from notable festivals including ShanghaiPRIDE and Rainbow Reel Tokyo.

Bank of Hawaii is proud to once again be the presenting sponsor of the Honolulu Rainbow Film Festival (HRFF). Platinum festival sponsors are Aqua-Aston Hospitality, Hawaii Tourism Authority, Hawaiian Airlines, Honolulu Magazine, Honolulu Museum of Art, Honolulu Volkswagen and Hula’s Bar & Lei Stand.

The HRFF is one of the longest-running LGBT film festivals in the country. This year, the festival will feature 15 films as well as special events and exclusive appearances over the span of two consecutive weekends.
