Directed by Mark Kitchell, USA, 2012, 114 mins.
Oscar-nominated filmmaker Mark Kitchell (Berkeley in the Sixties) spans the broad scope of environmental history in this first big-screen examination of the environmental movement. Exploring grassroots and global activism from the 1960s to the present, the film features archival footage, interviews and narration from celebrity activists such as Robert Redford, Meryl Street and Ashley Judd, connecting the movement’s origins with the issues still challenging society today.
