Secret Sound Showcase: Quadraphonix, Anton Glamb, Mano Kane
Friday Apr 26 09:00 PM
Doris Duke Theatre
General Admission: $10.00
About the Performance:
Improvisational Quadraphonix have an international sound, blending Indian ragas with blues, jazz with hip-hop, and collaborating with ‘ukulele virtuosos and emcees alike with ease and style. The enigmatic Anton Glamb just might be superhuman—he studied pre-med at Columbia University, is a local skateboard legend, and is a rapper who produces quirky, electronic Jawaiian beats. Mano Kane’s harmonies can make you think “Lennon and McCartney,” and this is no coincidence. The trio loves 50s and 60s rock ’n’ roll and aims to capture the sound and spirit of that golden era.
Hosted by Kevin Jones from Star 101.9
