About the Performance:

Producer-guitarist Chris Vandercook brings together some of Hawai‘i’s finest singers for this revue of classic soul songs from the golden age of Motown, Memphis, and Muscle Shoals. Vocalists Kimberlei Bradford, Melodie Soul, Chase Jackson, and Kyle McCarty perform with the Chris Vandercook Band and the Powerhouse Horns.

Don’t miss this celebration of great songs from the days when Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, Smokey Robinson, Otis Redding, and others set a standard for American popular music that has never been matched.

Held in conjunction with our annual Honolulu African American Film Festival.
