About the Performance:

New York Intercultural Music Society director and violinist Sean Wang, Grammy-nominated harpsichordist Matthew Dirst, renowned guzheng (Chinese zither) virtuoso Yi-Chieh Lai, and Baroque flautist Colin St. Martin present a unique program ranging from the violin sonatas written in China during the early Ch’ing dynasty by Jesuit missionary Teodorico Pedrini, performed on period instruments, to a new NYIMS-commissioned showpiece for violin and guzheng by composer Donald Womack.
