About the Film:

Directed by Akira Kurosawa. Japan, 1958, Japan, 139 mins.

See the film that inspired Star Wars! A general and a princess must dodge enemy clans while smuggling the royal treasure out of hostile territory with two bumbling, conniving peasants at their sides. This high-spirited adventure features wry humor, breathtaking action and, of course, the unforgettable pair of misfit heroes that ultimately gave us C-3PO and R2-D2.
