About the Performance:
Mimi Hafele, Duane Padilla, and Pierre Grill of local French cabaret group L’Escargot return to the Doris Duke Theatre for a night of music in celebration of the ever-romantic city of Paris. Be prepared to see French can-can dancers spice up the concert along with special guest vocalist Benoit Weber.
Myriam (Mimi) Hafele - Vocalist
From Grenoble, France, Mimi started her singing career at The Fairbanks Light Opera Theater, in Alaska, where she performed for more than 14 years in many Broadway productions, cabaret shows, and international operatic choirs.
Duane Padilla - Violin, guitar
An internationally acclaimed concert artist and educator, Padilla began his career as an orchestral musician, performing with the National Repertoire, the Tanglewood Music Center, and the New Haven and Honolulu Symphony Orchestras.
Pierre Grill - Piano, accordion, bass
From Marseille, France, Pierre has lived in Honolulu since 1979, and is the owner of Rendez-Vous Recording. Known as the "one man band," Grill plays piano, trombone, and foot bass at the same time.
